About the Artist

♪ Biography

Born in 1991, Crystal Voo is a Malaysian-Chinese born in Kota Kinabalu, a close to nature city at the northwest coast of Borneo. Being interested in story telling and drawing since the age of three, she pursued her dreams by going to the big city of Kuala Lumpur alone to study in The One Academy of Communication Design. After completing her Digital Animation diploma course majoring in 3D modeling, she continues her studies in Japan; graduating from a one-year course for advance level Japanese language and studied Computer Graphics in HAL Tokyo. After graduating, she started working in a 3DCG/VFX production company called Griot Groove that specializes in a wide spectrum of CG creative work. Not only does she do 3D modeling, she also enjoys digital painting, video editing, conceptual art, 3D animation, handicraft, and good old sketching. Crystal is an artist who loves to explore new styles and new things, ranging from cute fashion to robots, culture and myths to the paranormal.

Completed one year's course and finished with advance level in Japanese.

Completed the Digital Animation course and majored in 3D modeling. In this course we were trained in many other fields including fine art, video compositing, photography, design, storyboarding, scriptwriting, character design and concept art.

Completed Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) as a science student and held the post of president in Interact Club and Section leader in the school's brass band.

            - Student Volunteer. We are tasked to help out in many things in the event to make sure it
            goes on smoothly including checking tickets, information counter, registration counters,
            packing gifts, patrolling and helping out as a polyglot (person who can speak many
            languages). This program helps students with their leadership and train them to handle high
            stress situations and also to work together and communicate with students and professionals
            from all over the world.
